BMW Has Unveiled Two New Five Door Hatchbacks Which Include 114I, M135I Models

BMW has unveiled two new five door hatchbacks of its new generation 1-series which include 114i, M135i models.

The 114i model will be powered by a 75kW/180Nm four-cylinder petrol engine featuring twin power turbo technology with twin-scroll turbocharger, high precision injection, VALVETRONIC fully variable valve control and Double-VANOS variable camshaft control.

The engine, featuring stop-start technology, will be mated to a six-speed manual transmission and the hatchback will consume 5.5litres of fuel per 100km.

BMW's M135i hatchback, powered by 3.0-litre engine, will generate 235kW of power and 450Nm of torque.

According to the carmaker, m135i hatchback can launch from 0-100km/h in 4.9 seconds, while delivering a combined cycle fuelconsumption of 7.5L/100km.

Both the hatchbacks will feature safety technologies, which include driver and airbags, three-point automatic seatbelts for all seats, seatbelt tensioners and seatbelt force limiters in front seats, crash sensors and tyre pressure warning.
